Tandayapa
This is a 40 mile bike ride on dirt roads with no traffic. You will have lunch in a lunch box, before continuing your tour until you reach the little bird paradise Tandayapa. Watch the exchange between the different vegetation zones, from the Paramo to cloud forest to low montane forest. Moreover, the chances are good parrots, hummingbirds and toucans seen.
Day 1 - Calacali, Nono and Tandayapa
Early depart from Quito towards Mitad del Mundo (0°0'0") and Calacali village, where we will begin biking downhill along an old but and scenic road until we arrive in the Nono village (2500 mt) where we will take a brake and lunch. Afterwards we continue descending getting slowly into the tropical cloud forest, in the area of Tandayapa.(1800 mt). Here we'll try our luck and fish trout for the evening meal. Overnight stay in cabins.
